Our story

Everyone's welcome. That's the whole idea.

Sunday League is named after the game in its purest form — the pickup matches and weekend leagues where anyone can play. Where a first-timer lines up next to someone who used to play for money, and nobody checks your résumé before kickoff. Everyone's welcome. That's the whole idea.

We started Sunday League because the gear didn't reflect that. The stuff that actually performs — the grip socks, the guards the better players swear by — was priced like it was meant for a select few. Everything else was cheap for a reason. We didn't think those were the only two options.

Quality you can afford

So we built around one rule: you shouldn't have to choose between quality and price. Everything we make is built to hold up at the highest level of play — and priced so the everyday player can actually afford it. Not the cheapest, not the most expensive. The best return on what you spend, at every tier.

There's a reason behind every design decision — the materials, the construction, the fit. We'll tell you what those reasons are, because gear should earn its place in your bag.

What we make

Grip socks, cut socks, and built-in shin guards — engineered for traction, durability, and comfort through a full 90. Built for turf and grass, training and match day. Three tiers, so there's a right option whatever your budget.

And we're just getting started. We began with socks and guards, but we're not stopping there — the range keeps growing as we find more gear worth making at a price worth paying. Check back often; there's always something new in the works.

Who it's for

Beginners playing their first season. Sunday-leaguers who never stopped. UPSL sides, amateur clubs, high school programs. If you play, this is for you. Community over exclusivity — that's not a tagline, it's how we decide what to make and what to charge.

Who's behind it

Sunday League is built and run out of Portland, Oregon by founder Grant Garcia — who still packs and ships most orders himself.

“I've played soccer my whole life — club growing up, then college ball at Pacific University in Forest Grove. I started coaching as an assistant my senior year in 2019, then ran my own club side as head coach from 2020 to 2023. That's where Sunday League really started. I watched players at every level struggle to get good gear they could afford. Plenty of families can barely cover club fees, let alone everything else — and when the gear was cheap enough, it was cheap in every other way too. I didn't think that trade-off had to exist.

I still play indoor a few times a week, and I know the feeling of pulling on gear you trust — the excitement, the confidence, the bit of pride right before you get to work doing the thing you love. That's what I want every Sunday League player to feel.”

Giving back

For every pair of SL PRO grip socks we sell, we donate a pair of cotton socks to a homeless shelter or charity in need. Socks are one of the most requested and least donated items at shelters — so a warm, everyday pair does more good there than performance gear would.
